Podcasts and Presentations: the best way to prepare for DX.

“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important”, – Bill Gates.

Education is an enlightening experience for both, the student and the teacher. Two presentations on Disruptive Technologies (below) offer a perfect example on how much fun it could be to teach and learn at the same time.

Example 1: TBC Talks! is a virtual program on Disruptive Technologies for professionals ‘on the run’> This program was created under the umbrella of The Boston Club, currently with 8 episodes. This particular episode of TBC Talks! is about Big Data, a cornerstone of Disruptive Technologies.  Big Data – are much larger (in exabytes – EB – 1018 B), and more complex data sets, especially from new data sources. These data sets are so voluminous that traditional data processing software just can’t manage them. Big Data is characterized by 8 V’s: Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity, Vocabulary, Vagueness, Viability and Value. Big Data are analyzed to obtain better or hidden insights which might lead to enhanced/superior decisions and strategic business moves;

Example 2: Presentation “Digital Transformation Driven By Strategy” was given at Innovation Women Speaker Series organized by its founder – Women Founder – Bobbie Carlton. This presentation provides a very good overview of Disruptive Technologies with several examples from Healthcare industry.

Example 3: Program, seminar or webinar on any of DX topics: business growth, disruptive technologies,  DX strategies,  DX assessment of organization, or any other.
